Owning a freehold condo unit of at least 7,000 sq ft in the prime districts of 9 and 10 is the dream of many, but one often difficult to realise due to sky-high prices. However, there are numerous options available in the area that can help you fulfill this dream.
We have spotted several freehold condo units of at least 7,000 sq ft in Districts 9 or 10 that could be your aspiration place of abode.
Skyline @ Orchard Boulevard is one such example; a freehold development located at Anguilla Park in District 9 with a temporary occupation permit (TOP) obtained in 2015. The prices for the 40 units there range from $52.2 million to $63.0 million ($5,500 psf to $6,636 psf). The three-storey units have their own private pool on the roof terrace, and are conveniently located near Orchard Road, alongside numerous amenities such as Wisma Atria, Wheelock Place, Four Seasons Hotel, St. Regis Hotel Singapore, and Orchard MRT Station.
Wing On Life Garden is another attractive option. The 81-unit freehold development in District 10, obtained a TOP in 1982 and is surrounded by reputable schools such as Singapore Chinese Girls’ School (Primary and Secondary), Anglo-Chinese School (Barker Road), and St. Joseph’s Institution. Additionally, the neighbourhood is brimming with amenities like Balmoral Plaza, Newton Food Centre, The Tanglin Club, The American Club, Shangri-La Singapore, Goodwood Park Hotel, as well as Stevens and Newton MRT Stations. There is currently a five-bedroom penthouse unit available there with a 7,104-sq ft area and an asking price of $18.8 million ($2,646 psf).
Grange Road is another ideal neighbourhood due a wonderful blend of peace and convenience. Surrounded by luxury condo units, residents here can enjoy the tranquillity of the area but still be close to the vibrancy of Orchard Road. At the time of writing, there are approximately 10 unique listings for condo units of at least 7,000 sq ft in Beverly Hill, a freehold development with 88 units that obtained TOP in 1993. Smaller units of 7,550 sq ft have an asking price of $21.0 million ($2,781 psf) while the largest 7,561-sq ft unit is more affordable at $19.5 million ($2,579 psf).
For those who have deeper pockets, there’s a massive 13,000-sq ft penthouse unit in One Chatsworth, a freehold development of only 45 units and TOP obtained in 1976. The six-bedroom penthouse has an asking price of $55.0 million ($4,231 psf).

Since 2012, the average resale price for freehold condo units in District 10 has seen the most impressive price growth of 52%, now surpassing that of District 9. Currently, the average resale price for such units in District 10 is $2,382 psf.
